Scholarships for International Students:

n

Many universities and colleges in the USA offer scholarships specifically tailored for international students. These scholarships can be merit-based, need-based, or awarded based on other criteria such as leadership, community involvement, or academic achievements. To find relevant scholarships, explore the official websites of the institutions you’re interested in or utilize external scholarship databases and resources. Assistantships and Work-Study Programs:

n

Some universities and colleges provide assistantships or work-study programs that enable international students to work on-campus or in affiliated organizations. These programs offer valuable work experience while providing financial support. Teaching, research, and administrative duties are common roles within these programs. Look for opportunities to apply your skills and gain financial assistance through these programs.

nn

Financial Aid and Loans:

n

Certain institutions extend financial aid packages or loans specifically designed for international students. These packages can be need-based or merit-based and help cover tuition fees, living expenses, and other costs associated with studying in the USA. External Scholarships and Grants:

n

Apart from university-specific scholarships, numerous external organizations, foundations, and governments provide scholarships, grants, or fellowships to international students studying in the USA. Utilize scholarship databases, relevant websites, and your home country’s government or education department to discover and apply for these external funding options.

nn

Personal Savings and Family Support:

Careful planning and budgeting are essential if you intend to rely on personal savings or family support for your studies. Assess your expenses, including tuition fees, living expenses, insurance, and other costs, and ensure you have sufficient funds to cover your entire study period. Open communication with your family regarding financial expectations and support can help you make informed decisions.

nn

Part-time Jobs:

n

International students in the USA are generally allowed to work part-time on-campus, offering additional income to support their expenses. However, be mindful of the regulations and restrictions surrounding part-time work for international students. Ensure that your employment doesn’t negatively impact your studies or immigration status. Strike a balance between work and academics to maximize the benefits of this opportunity.

nn

Conclusively, when it comes to funding your studies as an overseas student in the USA, it’s crucial to explore all available options and plan ahead. Scholarships, assistantships, work-study programs, financial aid, external scholarships, personal savings, family support, and part-time jobs are among the avenues you can pursue. Begin researching and applying well in advance, adhering to deadlines and requirements. Seek guidance from your institution’s financial aid office or international.

n

file-1447637

Embarking on your American dream begins with successfully applying for a US visa.

nn

Our comprehensive guide provides valuable insights, expert tips, and insider knowledge to help you navigate the process smoothly. Whether you’re applying for a student visa or another type of visa, this step-by-step guide will assist you in gathering necessary documents, understanding application procedures, and increasing your chances of visa approval. Get ready to start your journey to a new life in the United States with our expert guidance.

nn

Step 1. Receive an Acceptance Letter from a SEVP-Certified School:

n

The first step in the US visa application process is to secure admission into a Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)-certified school in the USA. This certification ensures that the school is eligible to enroll international students. Once accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter, also known as Form I-20, which is a vital document required for your visa application.

nn

Step 2. Pay the SEVIS Fee:

n

After receiving your Form I-20, it’s essential to pay the SEVIS fee (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System). This fee supports the administration of SEVP and must be paid before you can schedule your visa appointment. You can conveniently pay the fee online through the SEVP website.

nn

Step 3. Complete the DS-160 Form:

file-4088960

n

The next step is to complete the DS-160 form, the official application form for a US visa. This form collects personal information, travel plans, and background details. As part of the application, you will need to upload a passport-sized photo.

nn

Step 4. Schedule a Visa Appointment:

n

Once you have completed the DS-160 form and paid the SEVIS fee, it’s time to schedule a visa appointment at the US embassy or consulate in your country. Check the specific requirements and procedures of the embassy or consulate where you will apply, as they may vary based on your location.

nn

Step 5. Gather Required Documents:

n

Before your visa appointment, gather all the necessary documents to support your application. This includes Form I-20, DS-160 confirmation receipt, SEVIS fee receipt, a passport-sized photo, a passport valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in the USA, financial documents demonstrating your ability to cover tuition and living expenses, and any other documents requested by the embassy or consulate.

nn

Step 6. Attend the Visa Interview:

n

On the day of your visa appointment, arrive early and bring all the required documents. You will undergo an interview with a consular officer who will ask you questions about your study plans, financial situation, and ties to your home country. Provide honest and clear answers. If your visa is approved, a visa sticker will be placed on your passport.

nn

Step 7. Receive Your Visa and Travel to the USA:

n

Upon approval, you will receive your passport with the visa sticker within a few days or weeks, depending on the embassy or consulate. Thoroughly check the visa sticker for accuracy. Once you receive your visa, make travel arrangements and prepare for your journey to the USA to begin your studies.

n

Note: The process for applying for a US visa may vary depending on your country of origin and the specific US embassy or consulate where you are applying.

    n

  1. Get a job at an MNC or startup – This gives you a choice to dwell on your career choices.
  2. n

  3. Pursue a master’s degree in Business like MIM, MBA, etc. – It is one of the safest options, and the ROI (Return on investment) as per market rates is sustainably higher. It is an excellent option for students who feel stuck with their engineering degrees.

A Good Cover Letter https://moweabroad.com/2022/05/15/a-good-cover-letter/ https://moweabroad.com/2022/05/15/a-good-cover-letter/#respond Sun, 15 May 2022 10:19:34 +0000 http://6280d034729173e9ef9e5906 file-8333479

n

While planning the correct cover letter or one addressing the dutiful content might be a challenge, it is a game-changer. Even if a cover letter is not a part of your job/ University application requirement, it can certainly be a deal-breaker. Nevertheless, candidates’ most frequently asked question is ‘How to write a cover letter’?

nn

There is so much conflicting advice; it’s hard to know where to start. We recently jotted a few points to focus on while planning a cover letter. This updated, end-to-end guide below will help you land a suitable job and secure a place at your dream University.

n

    n

  1. Do Research – Find out details about the company/ University. Apart from screening through their respective websites, try following them on LinkedIn and interacting with people working/ studying in the same space.
  2. n

  3. Focus on the future– Cover Letter plays a crucial part in bridging your past with future goals. Because of the pandemic, millions of people have voluntarily or involuntarily gone through a career shift. The Cover letter is a suitable space to explain the career shift, also setting an opportunity to sell your transferable skills.
  4. n

  5. Strong opening – Candidates typically rehash their Resume in a cover letter which is a giant red flag, putting the recruiter’s excitement to death. Starting with a strong opening sentence with why this job is exciting and what you’ll bring to the table can keep the recruiter glued to your application. Also, try not to be funny, as humor can be self-regarding.
  6. n

  7. Emphasis on personal values – Due to the pandemic, hiring teams or managers are looking for people who have problem-solving attitudes. Inferring from your earlier research at Step 01: Learning about the company, you can show what you bring to the table to ease off challenges. ,Adaptability and the ability to learn quickly are two skills relevant to almost any job right now: If you have brief examples demonstrating these skills, include those.
  8. n

  9. Enthusiasm conveys personality – 75% of the time, not getting hired is not because of ‘Lack of Skills’ but because of ‘Lack of Enthusiasm.’ A candidate has to make it seem like this is their dream job. So, your priority should be to stay clear on your reasons for applying for this job/ University.
  10. n

  11. Tone – Don’t go overboard with flattery. Even if you have been out of the job for months or have received a rejection from various Universities, being professional and mature is a good thumb rule. You may even take a draft review from your colleagues/ friends or family.
  12. n

  13. Keep it short – Keep is restricted to a page only. Do not go overbroad by adding the exact details mentioned in your Resume. A Good Cover Letter should be read at a glance.
  14. n

  15. Expert Feedback – It is a great way to check your focus point, story-telling, and summarization. Major red flags for the same are attuned desperation, overselling, over-modesty or underselling.
  16. n

If you’re who seek professional help, reach out to us rather than just declaring your Cover-letter belonging to the dustbin. If the online application doesn’t allow you to submit a cover letter, use the format you’re given to demonstrate your enthusiasm and ability to do the job or study at the University. You may even send a follow-up email containing your cover letter. This makes sure that your candidature has not been weeded out.
